Founded in 1786, the traditional confectionery looks back at a history spanning over more than two hundred years.  The Demel Salons in the beautiful rococo-style next to the Hofburg, in the heart of the city, have always been a popular meeting place of the aristocracy and the bourgeoisie of Vienna.  Today as then, you can enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate with the famous Dobostorte (a multi-layered cake), seductive cream slices, tea cakes, Bundt cake, and strudel.  Formed, baked and decorated by hand.
